The three laboratories that are members of the Bézout Labex are:
- CERMICS (Centre d’Enseignement et de Recherche en Mathématiques et Calcul Scientifique), the laboratory of applied mathematics and scientific computing of École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC);
- LAMA (Laboratoire d’Analyse et de Mathématiques Appliquées), a research unit associated with Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE) (formerly UPEM), and Université Paris-Est Créteil Val-de-Marne (UPEC);
- LIGM (Laboratoire d’Informatique Gaspard-Monge), a research unit associated with CNRS, UGE (formerly UPEM), and the engineering schools École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) and ESIEE Paris (the latter to become part of UGE soon).
A member of Université Paris-Est
The Bézout Labex is part of the community of universities and institutions Université Paris-Est (UPE), which brings together two universities, four prestigious engineering schools, including École des Ponts ParisTech and ESIEE Paris, three Écoles Nationales Supérieures d’Architecture, one national veterinary school, five research and development institutes, four operating agencies, one competitiveness cluster and over 70 research laboratories. UPE was built in 2007 and is today a major international campus.
As of January 1st, 2020, the University Gustave Eiffel (UGE) is created, resulting of the merging of Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and Ifsttar, and integrating four schools, in particular the engineering school ESIEE Paris. While UPE is currently handling the administrative and financial tasks of the Bézout Labex, it is expected that UGE will take over in early 2021. Of course, the perimeter of the Bézout Labex remains the same, with the three laboratories CERMICS, LAMA, and LIGM.
